Heesup Yun Drone Experiment
GxExM field experiment with custom-built drone (2023)

I am a Ph.D. candidate in Biological Systems Engineering at the University of California, Davis. My work stands at the intersection of agriculture and technology, where I specialize in precision agriculture and AI-driven plant phenotyping. My research core involves leveraging unoccupied aerial vehicles (UAVs), computer vision, and deep learning architectures to optimize agricultural monitoring and data-driven decision-making.

Research Interests

  • UAV Remote Sensing: High-resolution agricultural monitoring and data acquisition.
  • Precision Agriculture: Site-specific management and biophysical modeling.
  • Computer Vision: 3D reconstruction and vision algorithms for specialty crops.
  • Deep Learning: Advanced plant phenotyping and feature extraction.
